Coaching Opportunities

We’re looking for passionate individuals at all experience levels to help shape the next generation through the game of golf.

At First Tee – Greater St. Louis, we help kids discover their personal strengths, then mentor them to become the best version of themselves. We need enthusiastic, caring people like YOU to make that happen, serving as positive role models as you guide them through the First Tee program.

You don’t have to be a golf pro. We provide all the training you need, built on research-proven methods of positive youth development that help kids feel safe, included, and empowered.

Lead Coach (Paid Position)

Lead Coaches are the backbone of our program – responsible for executing our core curriculum at one or more golf course locations. This part-time role is perfect for experienced golfers who love teaching, mentoring young people, and being part of something bigger than the game.

• Starting at $21/hour, with pay increases available through Level 2 & 3 certifications
• Pay covers setup, class time, and tear-down
• Access to industry discounts: FootJoy, TaylorMade, Callaway & Adidas
• Reports to Program Director Romeze Lawson

Volunteer Coach

No golf experience required – just a love for the game and a genuine desire to help youth grow. Volunteer coaches work with kids and teens ages 7-18, from beginners to advanced players, across our spring, summer, and fall seasons. We’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits.

• Spring (Mar-May) & Fall (Aug-Oct): once weekly, 6-8 weeks
• Summer (Jun-Aug): one to two times weekly, 8-week sessions
• Volunteer coaches may be considered for paid Lead Coach roles
